How do I prepare the coconut blocks for use?
It's simple! The coconut is pressed into compact blocks and is still untreated.
Place the block completely in a water bath for 10 minutes. The coconut fibres soak up the water and can then be easily spread out.
Tip: Use, for example, a rain barrel, wheelbarrow, large tub or another waterproof container.

Coconut ground cover is one of the most cost-effective coverings per m² – and particularly long-lasting. Since it decomposes only very slowly, you only need to refresh it lightly every 2 to 3 years.

How thick should the coconut ground cover be spread?
One block of approx. 5 kg is enough for about 2 M². This gives you a layer thickness of 2 to 3 cm, which is completely sufficient for good ground cover. You can even walk on it without any problem.
Compared to bark mulch, you need a noticeably thinner layer with coconut, since coconut decomposes much more slowly. Coconut also gives a nicer look, is more durable and more affordable than conventional ground covers such as bark.
